Could the interview Chris Matthews called the worst hes ever had have something to do with his decision to change the title of his most recent book before its paperback edition is released?
In 2007, the Hardball host went on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote his book, Lifes a Campaign: What Politics Has Taught Me About Friendship, Rivalry, Reputation, and Success. Stewart immediately went on the offensive, calling its thesis a Machiavellian recipe for sadness and disagreeing vehemently with what the books title implies.
If you treat life like a campaign ... at the end of your life, do you give a concession speech? asked Stewart. Arent campaigns fundamentally contrivances?
Matthews called it a book interview from hell at the time.
But lo and behold, the paperback edition of the book, which went on sale this week, dispenses with that title in favor of The Hardball Handbook: How to Win at Life.

A book has got to do pretty sh**ty to be able to get away with arbitrarily changing the title like that.
Perhaps Chrissy is hoping for a second chance to sell a copy or two?
I guess Chrissie can’t stand his ground against the likes of Jon Stewart. Geez can’t good liberals tease each other, mano-on-mano?
all Bamie’s little b*tches have to stick together now
Not only that but where does a guy whose show has been dead-last in his timeslot for about 10 years get off telling people how to “win” at anything?
I would have made fun of him for a ridiculously long title before anything. The first thought that popped into my head when reading that was of a newspaper headline proposed by Michael Scott on The Office: “Scranton Area Paper Company, Dunder Mifflin, Apologizes to Valued Client; Some Companies Still Know How Business is Done.”
lol
I thought Matthews would just shorten the title to “The Tingle”.
Except Jon Stewart rips on libs and cons equally. Hes pretty funny dumping on BO as well.
Records show that Prissy Chrissy sold 1,269 copies of the Hardback “TINGLY” First Edition. Those reords show that one sale was for 850 copies that received the author’s discount of 40% going to a Mr. Chris Matthews, presumably for presents to DNC and ZERO Campaign Members:-)Prissy did have a book signing at the B&n at 86th and Broadway. His Mother showed up to buy the single copy that was sold and signed that night!(o_O)
how often does a book title get changed after its published?
he bought 75% of his own books??
lol
That's because "The Joke" was already taken.
btt
The liberals know the ground shifted under them when they weren't looking....they're just stupid enough to think they can control it.
