I would suppose — then — that you are in full support of the secession movement by the Lakotah Sioux... :-)

If you support that movement and get it accomplished for those Indians, you will be setting up a good precedent for others, then...

Lakota Sioux Secede From US, Declare Independence
by Bill Harlan

Political activist Russell Means, a founder of the American Indian Movement, says he and other members of Lakota tribes have renounced treaties and are withdrawing from the United States.

“We are now a free country and independent of the United States of America,” Means said in a telephone interview. “This is all completely legal.”

Means said a Lakota delegation on Monday delivered a statement of “unilateral withdrawal” from the United States to the U.S. State Department in Washington.

The State Department did not respond. “That’ll take some time,” Means said.

Meanwhile, the delegation has delivered copies of the letter to the embassies of Bolivia, Venezuela, Chile and South Africa. “We’re asking for recognition,” Means said, adding that Ireland and East Timor are “very interested” in the declaration.

The Republic of Lakotah

I wonder how many FReepers are in support of this secession? And considering that a lot of FReepers are suggesting secession — I would think they would be *all out in support* of these Indians...

They certainly have the right to try. As do we...

What your posts boil down to is a threat, “secede” and “we will bury you”. Or something along those lines. Funny thing about threats, you gotta be able to back em up in reality. Because when the other side calls your bluff, all you have left is an empty threat that you have to fulfill, if you can.

heh...

We are working up to calling the fed gov’s bluff...

At least one, me.

Provided that they would need visas and the permission of adjacent states to visit USA territory.
No foreign (USA) aid whatsoever, in any form.
Acknowledgement that should they invite Cubans, Mexicans or Venezuelans to infiltrate the sovereign United States from their territory, it would expose them to attack.

I can deal with that.

So what exactly IS your purpose here, besides being a shill for ever bigger FedGov, I mean?

And, yes, I would support the Indians in their secession. Why ever NOT?
