Fifty-one percent of Americans had a favorable view of the nationwide rallies, while 32 percent responded their view was very favorable, according to a poll released by Rasmussen Reports. A third of the nation had an unfavorable view with 15 percent unsure. Why is this a surprise?
Are Americans citizens that stupid?
Of course this 15% feel that way; they are the parasites of society, pay no income taxes, and enjoy welfare in every form imagineable. Indeed, why would they feel otherwise? They may be useless, but they're not stupid.
Judging by the percentage of waste in all welfare programs they're smarter than the other stupid citizen: the working American who is being financially raped and is too polite to demand meaningful reform.

What youre seeing
what is one of the surprising things about these tea parties
surprising to people like you and me, is how mainstream extremism is in the Republican Party and the conservative movement, Mr. Frank, author of Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule, told Ms. Maddow.Hey, dickhead, we're not the extremists, YOU are! The stuff we believe in has been the norm for centuries. You're the ones trying to change the rules and in so doing, breaking everything that works. Get your head, or whatever, out of your backside.

We left England and that was American.
The problem now is where do we go? How many times can we cut this nation apart before there is no where else to run?
We had best fix this place before that happens.

P.S. I think secession is the means to defang the federal government. I think if the states went their own direction it would be temporary and just long enough to collapse the overbearing federal government, form a new Constitution to plug the holes in the current one (We are at version 1.26 and need 2.0), and get back together. I don’t think a split would last long. We want to be a nation as we are; we just need to get rid of the garbage and that isn’t happening with the corrupt system.

“Some Think Secession Is Un-American”
Yeah? And some think assholes in Washington DC giving away our legal rights to the world, pissing away the Constitution, voting on fraud bills to save the economy while not even knowing what’s in it, keeping borders wide open during war time, as treason. But who is keeping score??
To: AmericanHunter
In the case of Texas it would not, technically, be secession. They have a unique agreement, as an autonomous Republic, with the United States and can get out anytime they wish.
I don’t expect “experts” and talking head morons to know facts.

MSNBCs Chris Matthews called talk of secession whack-job stuff, calling Mr. Perry a bozo and telling the Texas governor, You dont have a choice buddy. Krissy "the teenage girl" Matthews who gets a "tingle all the way up his leg" (a disgusting image I could have lived all the rest of my life without him planting THAT in my head) has both the intelligence and credibility of bellybutton lint.
Unfortunately, Krissy is such an airhead that he doesn't seem to realize that Texas, along with any/all of the other 49 states DO have a choice. It was Krissy's airheadedness that got him thrown off the cheerleading squad when he was in high school. After that, he tried out for the girls dance team, but he sucked at that too and, well, things just went downhill after that. That's how he got to be a liberal airhead on TV pretending to be a "real" journalist.

What does it mean to be unAmerican? Who decides what is American or unAmerican behavior? Most people that came to this country wanted personal freedom and an unintrusive government. They simply wanted to be self-sufficient and to enjoy the fruits of their work. They wanted the freedom to raise their children without government interference and to worship God as they wished. They were willing to fight and die for these freedoms. Those are examples of what it means to be an American. If a government no longer honors those ideals, is it American to support such a government?

Could someone construct a website questionnaire that would allow residents of all 50 States to vote on-line on the question:
If the Federal government continues to erode the rights of each sovereign State of the union to govern itself, would you be in favor of your State seceding from the Union?
Yes or No
No need for any indetifying infomation other than one’s Zip Code. The results will send shudders up the spines of the Feds.

Having an un-American, non-American President is un-American.
