You need an ID to get on an airplane or rent a car.

You also need id to cash a check or buy alcohol. It is a ridiculous argument that it is unduly burdensome. We need to standardize voting requirements and have a centralized voter list so people can only vote once, not multiple times per locality or state even. Also remove dead voters. The “system” as it exists now is beyond irresponsible.

and in many states, to buy spray paint (if you look under 18) and to buy cigs.

Yeah, but getting on an airplane and renting a car are privileges, not rights. I understand your motivation, but the two are not equivalent.

Those would be RICH people - poor people can’t fly.. or rent a car... (It’s amazing how many poor people ARE on the planes - you can tell they are pool because of their manners!)

I am PROUD to show I am a citizen and who I say I am when I vote! Why wouldn’t anyone else be?
