To all who think DaVinci Code was "pretty bad": thank you for purchasing the book and the movie tickets. That's all we in Hollywood want from you to produce more trash!

Leftists are masters of hypocrisy. On the one hand, they accuse gun owners, conservative Christians, pro-life activists, soldiers returning to civilian life, libertarians, and assorted other enemies of being potential terrorists and irrational conspiracy theorists. Yet they are prone to come up with their own conspiracy theories that are as bizarre as anything out of the right-wing fever swamps. A good example is that of Hillary Clinton's supposed vast right wing conspiracy. The Dan Brown novels drag out the old Illuminati conspiracy, not even getting the history straight (17th Century rather than 18th Century). Then Brown and Ron Howard spin fables about the alleged evils of the Catholic Church that have not been in widespread circulation since the Know Nothing era over 150 years ago.

One wonders if the allegations leftists make toward their enemies, secular and religious, are not projections of their own thoughts and behaviors.

It is a historical fact that the Illuminati vowed vengeance against the Vatican in the 1600s.’

Is he referring to the Hermeticists and the Rosicrucians?

To excuse Dan Brown and Opie's anti-Catholic agitprop as "fiction" is lame, lame! The Communist Manifesto was "fiction" too. As were The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. News flash to the apologists: we know the difference between fiction and non-fiction, stop trying to educate us and making yourselves look like Joe Palooka fools. And thank you for contributing dollars to the Hollywood propaganda factory. Nice boycott!

From the NY Times:

Tom Hanks as Buffy clomps and minces at once, exaggerating his character’s femininity while coyly promoting his own masculinity. He doesn’t move like a girl, he moves like a guy might think a girl would move. In the occasional serious scenes Mr. Hanks displays the heavy-handedness that would later flaw his dramatic performances (and win him Oscars). In lighter moments, though, he’s so polished and elegant, it’s hard to believe he’s only 23...in and out of drag Mr. Hanks is the sexy one.

Oh, yeah, he’s not anti-Catholic and this movie doesn’t distort with ‘stories’ about Catholicism that are, wink-wink, ‘fiction’. And I woke up with a million dollars in my bank account today, and my car was repaired by fairies overnight, and I just won a free vacation. Yeah, I had to add a few more ‘truths’ to the list. Sigh. His movie will deceive fellow Catholics just as his previous books and movies about Catholic ‘fiction’ did. Many of us know well-meaning Catholics who bought into it. Not to mention others who regard it as ‘truth’.

One of the worst things about this movie is that it portrays the Illuminati as dedicated to science. They were not. They founder of the Illuminati even claimed to have "exorcised spirits," and "raised ghosts."

"....of all Illumination which human reason can give, none is comparable to the discovery of what we are, our nature, our obligations, what happiness we are capable of, and what are the means of attaining it. In comparison with this, the most brilliant sciences are but amusements for the idle and luxurious." - Adam Weishaupt
