I just came from a TEA party and several of the speakers made the point that this is all about FREEDOM. People have the freedom to attend or not to attend. As someone who has been teaching college students for over 25 years, I would appreciate all of my students being as responsible as you to choose class over something that they would have preferred to do. There will be other events and other ways that you can show your support.

Thank you so much. Not only do I take my classes very seriously but I value the time and effort my professors put into their classes and show my respect by being on time to class and attending regularly. I look at it the same way I looked at my job and right now school IS my job.

I have been voting since I was 18, have worked on numerous political campaigns, both locally and on the national level, including making telephone calls, passing out literature, etc.

Not everyone can go to the “mission field” and so some of us just have to stay home support in other ways.

I really appreciate what you said.

You COULD have given the students the freedom of having that ONE CLASS as a study period or as a time off to go to the tea party.

I appreciate your attendance ... apparently you didn't have a class that day ... and there is VERY LITTLE that is more important than supporting ones country
