Our rally in Fresno seemed centered on taxes and general freedom. Any libertarian would have felt perfectly comfortable there. I didn’t see any social issues; only general liberty and property rights. The speakers kept it on point pretty well. You can see pix here:

Hey Pelosi, that’s a LOT of Astroturf...sea to shining sea

And across the fruited plain.

Eternal thanks to the American GI who has paved the way for us.

Wait, I am confused. I thought the media said it was a Right Wing extremist event sponsored by the GOP and the Talk radio. The news lady here said we only had a few hundred people participate in Nashville (we had 9000) and CNN didn’t think there were enough people to warrant coverage...are you telling me that the media refused to report the accurate number?! That is NOT possible (sarc.)

I went to the Tea Party in Chattanooga and have pictures. I tried to post them to the Chattanooga Tea Party thread. Well no luck. Anyone know how to post pics to a thread?

Just like a guy — here I’m trying to figure logistics on getting myself to Wash DC — and now YOU want me to bring BBQ Beans to serve 750,000!!! HaHa

A thought — maybe we could work these events into the different County and State Fairs starting up soon. There’d be a place for a table with brochures — copies of Constitution for sale — a certain night and hour for Freeper meet-up — happy faces and serious debate for those who want it.
Keep working on that menu Jim.

Don’t you REALLY mean BHO Blue Coat enactments? The rest of the stuff sounds like a GRAND idea!! Wouldn’t that be a Hoot to have these going on all over the USSA?

say all you want, but someone who works their ass off all day doesn’t always have the time/energy to root out what’s going on.

Thanks raptor29 for seeing the reality. Workers vs slackers when it comes to demonstrations, the workers will lose everytime.

Demonstrations are foreign to me but not our neighbors to the south. And not to most 'oppressed' peoples of the world. When one can't get redress by following the normal procedures (legislature, courts, etc.), one must revert to the street.

However, this is mobocracy with populism thrown in which may not lead to a desired conclusion. Think Gay parades, for a moment. They freak people out. Think illegal immigrants swamping the streets of LA for a moment. They freak people out too.

If taking to the streets is the last option available, I'll be there. I own a nice pitch-fork and could look-up how to make a torch.

Use this code:

<img src="http://source.com/imagefile.jpg"> <p>

Use the code for each picture. If you want to add captions, put the <p> code after each paragraph.

You need the source URL for your picture too. Another FReeper asked if you had posted your pictures online. If you have, each picture has its own source address. FReepmail me if you want to know more and I will try to help you.

The TEA party I went to was held on Saturday so class was not a problem for anyone who wanted to go. I live in a town that is home to Camp Lejeune MCB and you would be hard pressed to find a more patriotic community than ours. As the speakers pointed out today, this is the BEGINNING of a movement, not the end. It is not as important what you do on one particular day as what you do on the days to come - calling, emailing, writing letters, and, most important VOTING and encouraging others to vote for candidates that reflect true American values.

As an instructor, I have discretion as to whether I drop any individual student for excess absences, but the attendance policy allows students the equivalent of two weeks worth of absences. I work with students on an individual basis, and would not penalize a student who explained that he or she was missing my class in order to attend such an event. In our community college, however, we are NOT allowed to just cancel class. If I chose not to be there, someone else would have to substitute for me.

As I said in my previous post, the key here is FREEDOM to make your own choices rather than having them imposed on you by something or someone else. IMO, our intent is not to be judgemental but to inspire others to join this grassroots (not astroturf) movement.
