"This is where the movement gets into crazy town.

Amen. It allows the entire conservative movement to be painted as whack-jobs and gives comic fodder to every late-night comedian and snarky faux news show.

We don't need to give the leftist anymore clubs to beat us with.

There was the same kind of thing from the Left when Bush won re-election in '04 - people like Evan Thomas of Newsweek spoke openly about how the Blue states should consider separating from "Jesusland". It's unproductive and silly, no matter which side it's coming from - just another variation on the "I'm moving to X if Y wins" tantrum-throwing usually done by Hollywood liberals.

“This is where the movement gets into crazy town.”

Why? So the message is “if you leave me I’ll kill you?”. Does that not then equate the federal government to a wife beater?

How about this spin - Democrats - the wife beater party.

Isn’t it the Left that has created the divorce culture we have now out of the 60s’-70’s?

Only natural that people who don’t want to be in a relationship should be able to leave it if they want, right?

Sounds to me like they want it both ways. In the end its about control.
