As Rush says, there is an expiration date for everything that comes out of Obama’s mouth.

Under what law were they thinking of prosecuting them?

Dunno if this is good news.

Obama kept all the surveillance provisions of the Patriot Act, too, and fully intends to use them... on his political enemies.

...because the CIA knows that Obama was born in Kenya and it would come out at every trial.

That's because Pelosi and Reid approved the waterboarding beforehand.

Sounds like they found out through polling this was not a good idea...and if he wants to keep outrage going just convict the party that caused us NO terrorist acts the whole 8 years as President!!!!!

WASHINGTON— The Obama administration is telling Central Intelligence Agency officials who used waterboarding and other harsh interrogation tactics on terror suspects that they won’t be prosecuted by the Justice Department.

Senior administration officials told the Associated Press that Attorney General Eric Holder will release a statement Thursday giving the first definitive assurance to the CIA officials that they are legally in the clear.

The officials spoke about the Holder statement ahead of its release on condition of anonymity, so as not to pre-empt the attorney general.

Even before President Barack Obama took office, aides signaled his administration was not likely to bring criminal charges against CIA employees for their roles in the secret, coercive terrorist interrogation program. They noted the program had been deemed legal at the time through opinions issued by the Justice Department under the Bush administration.

Doesn’t mean he won’t go after some of the higher-ups. Mark my words. If Obama’s poll numbers tank, he’ll use this as a distraction.

There is nothing good about this no matter what he says about who won’t go to jail. This has just destroyed our national security. Our intelligence gathering will be destroyed for years and years over this because intelligence demands complete secrecy not only about what we know, but about how we know it. From now on all of our allies and even some of our enemies who give us intel on mutual enemies will no longer trust us. If we can’t keep our own secrets then how in the hell our we going to keep theirs? Even the former Soviet Union passed us intelligence when it benefited them, do you think the Russians , the British, and even Iran who passed on intel about the Taliban will ever tells us anything again? They will be to afraid that Obama will use it to score political points and any leaked intelligence reveals how we got it. This is a sad day for America and Obama has just removed our most effective line of defense.

he wont prosecute them because he is keeping the same policies and wants people to do it for him.
So why bother letting the cat out of the bag and telling our enemies what we do?

Maybe not but they will find themselves assigned to places like Borneo.
