It's the same at the local level.
As for Concealed carry permits..Then you would agree that it is a State matter? Would you then agree that it's up to the State on which persons are disqualified from ownership such as misdemeanor convictions?
I feel that if a state believes that people are responsible enough to carry firearms then they're responsible enough to carry them anywhere. What frosts me is all these states that say you can carry a weapon except... And then they exempt public buildings where they may happen to be - capitols, city halls, schools, what have you. I believe that there should be no exceptions whatsoever for public buildings of any kind. And on private property then the owner can decide otherwise. In cases like that you are free to make your own decision as to whether you want to patronize them or not.

I'm torn on that. On the one hand the Second amendment makes no exemptions on what people have the right to bear arms. On the other hand, they tie it with the militia and a state has the right to set standards for militia membership. So I suppose the state should be able to restrict ownership under certain, specific, limited conditions.
Depends if you live in a liberal cesspool or not...

Very good Non-Sequitur we might make a rebel out of you yet!

I was talking in regards to this Federal Government imposing on the States who may or may not legally own a firearm! Some States only disqualify those who've been convicted of a serious Felony..The Federal Government has imposed on the States that {Keep the peace orders} without no finding of guilt are disqualifying...Misdemeanor convictions under ‘Federal Law’ in some cases are life long bans.....
Who ‘trumps’ Non-Sequitur? You do have the Supremacy clause on you side...However the Second Amendment is clearly violated not to mention the 10th>
