The motto of the Jesuit order is AMDG: Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam, usually translated “To the greater glory of God.”

Which God is that, I wonder, at Georgetown? The Christian God? Allah? Or maybe some kind of interchangeable god?

The article concludes that Obama never mentioned the name of Jesus in his speech, but he did quote from the Sermon on the Mount:

“We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand,” he added. “We must build our house upon a rock.”

Now, what do we suppose Obama meant by “rock”? The usual understanding is that the rock Jesus refers to is Himself, the Son of God. But the way Obama uses it, either he means the Federal Government or he means none other than himself, as the head of that government.

Hmm. Talk about messiah complexes. And the Jesuits of Georgetown are aiding and abetting Obama’s appropriation and misuse of the Bible.
