That and more. Mine is quite accurate given what it is. The semi’s are decently accurate as well.

It would kind of fix the entire situation.

Sadly the united nations seems to run the merchant sea laws.

Yep. Most accurate firearms have free floated fixed barrels. The 1919 uses a short recoil system that requires the barrel to recoil in the receiver about half an inch. The gun uses a short sight radius, and the movement on the mount would suggest a “spray and pray” type of use. Yet, the 1919 is capable of accuracy to put single shots on a human sized target at 1000 yards.

It’s an amazing feat of engineering.

Mike

Sadly it takes 2 to carry and doesnt have optics.

It was made for suppressive fire.

Which I in no way mean to detract from what a fine piece of engineering it is.

the cartel uses it for street level gun fights. something like that would turn an armored vehicle into swiss cheese in no time.

I bet its semi auto.

I think this is all buying into the notion that America needs to be disarmed.

I would think and armored vehicle would have serious fire power that would make minced meat of an SUV with a 1919.

None of it passes the smell test to me

Once again our news media shows how stupid they are when it comes to firearms. The so called anti-aircraft weapon is a M1919, .30 Caliber, air cooled machine gun. It is not intended for, not readily capable of shooting at airplanes. It was used in WWII and Korea and up until about 1960 in the US armed forces.

I do believe this whole arrest was a setup to try and bolster their, "95 percent of weapons in Mexico come from the US!". If this one came from the US it came out of an old National Guard Armory somewhere because it wasn't sold in a Gun store or Gun show!

What dumbbos. If there is a picture with this article you should look at the gal that was arrested, she is definitely not guilty!

“This weapon was no doubt bought thru the gunshow loophole. “

Nah. It was purchased at Wal Mart.

"It’s a Browning .30cal NOT A .50 cal !!!!!!"

Are you sure?

I think I see lips on those rounds which leads me to believe it's Russian 7.62 x 54.

Mexico has Armed Forces too. I’m sure their armories have these types of weapons too. that thing could have come from their stocks.

I cant tell what it is.

Shells are to long to be 50. BMG

Could be a stick with little sticks glued to the side to look like cartridges.

I see an AR10, a Maadi, a couple of hunting rifles and a very limited application 1919.

A gazillion AK mags and a couple hundred rds of ammo for them.
There are as many AK mags as there is ammo for them LoL

Who knows. I smell propaganda photo op

It is a Browning M1919, fired one enough to know one. The rounds don’t have rims on them,IMO, they are rimless. I wouldn’t doubt that during WWII the russians had some M1919s under the stupid lend lease program FDR started, but those look like 30-06 rounds to me.
