The outskirts are conservative. Houston is a blue doe surrounded by red. Like most big cities.

Yes, and let me tell you, Houston is relatively conservative for a major big city. Of course, I moved here from Detroit two years ago so anything is a step up from that. Houston may not be as conservative as it once was, but there's still a lot to fight for. God bless Texas! I'd hate to see this place go the way of other places.
