I received a forwarded massE-mail today about the disgraceful work of Congressman Donald Payne of New Jersey. Donald Payne is famous for attempting to sanction Ethiopia using a bill called HR 2003 and he wants America to support Eritrea.

Meanwhile, in contrast, the American government (with big U.S. state department role) is trying to sanction Eritrea. The later makes more sense since Ethiopia recently had its first multiparty elections in its history, while Eritrea remains locked up without elections and without independent media.  

 

 

Anyhow, this Eritrea vs. Ethiopia war in Congress is heating up. Along with Donald Payne, his HR2003 colleage Rep. Rohrabacher has apparently been the recipient of thousands of lobbyist dollars from anti-Ethiopia ONLF rebel financers and from the Eritrean government.

 

 

The inside stories are endless with all sides accusing each other but what is the most shocking is that Donald Payne actually tried to defend the ONLF separatist militants by saying that the ONLF terrorist attacks this year killed Ethiopian security forces. What a shame. All humans are worth equal but it is deplorable that Donald Payne actually tried to hide the civilians killed by the ONLF. Here is one of the lists of civilians who got massacred by the ONLF terrorist organization in just the last six months. The list is also posted on U.S. Foreign affairs committee website.

Donald Payne said he wants a complete change of American policy to support Eritrea and to condemn Ethiopia. American government is considering to label Eritrea a “state sponsor of Terorism” for arming the insurgency in Mogadishu. But Donald Payne has been organizing files to angelize the insurgency and to smear Ethiopian and Somali governments as destabilizing force in the region. Basically, Donald Payne thinks the killing of civilians by ONLF is fine and the rise of extremism in Mogadishu is acceptable. Well, okay, let us say it is fine to change current pro-Ethiopia American policy (against all common sense) just so that Donald Payne will feel joyful. But why would Donald Payne, a congressman, try to hide the killing of so many civilians by the ONLF terrorist organization? Donald Payne represents the crime-infested Newark city in New Jersey, so has the endless crimes, uncontrollable gang violence, death and suffering of Newark  citizens made him immune to suffering of civilians?
