Well, from what I see... The military (or navy as you might prefer) were negligent in their non-action during the captains first escape attempt (yes, successful in the second effort). So they made it up with his second attempt. Thank goodness they finally were on the ball. As to the rest, political or otherwise, those that had nothing to do with it will try to take credit for the others action. Politics is no different than yesterday...

I still wonder why they were asleep during the first attempt...and do question their ability (unless they were so ordered by Obama - then I would understand - and weep)...

I just read recently that the Bainbridge does not carry SEALS or sharpshooters. If that is the case, then they could do nothing when the Captain jumped overboard. They were probably more frustrated than we were.

But, all the needed personal were in place the next time the captain jumped. The navy and the SEALS deserve our praise for their rescue.
