I just posted that thought the WH response was tepid, they have not figured out how to claim credit for a supposed TOTUS plan in place from the very beginning.

Agree with your assessment that the response was tepid. He complimented th captain’s courage, perhaps bolstered by desparation, but as far as I know did little to acknowledge the Seals, nor any Navy officers.
It’s almost as if he’s apologetic for the end result.
