Thank the Navy, Thank the Captain for jumping. Obama didn’t do anything. His administration does not think that the terrorism going on in Somalia causes any problems outside of Somalia. He wants to take a more diplomatic approach to the piracy.
Give him time to take credit for the entire operation crises from start to finish.

He didn't prevent it. I will give him credit for that - he was willing to let a viable rescue go down. If this were Carter, we'd be reading about this story for several more months. If it were Clinton, he'd have bombed Khartoum by now.
