Deborah, I don't care if he changed his position or not. But what he is suggesting is a failed policy. There was no one that reached out to those favoring amnesty more than McCain -- and he got WHOMPED by the Hispanics. Half my family is Hispanic, including a couple newly minted citizens, and I can tell you that NONE of them support amnesty. They came here the
legal way. To pander to the illegal alien base just shows how tone-deaf and directionless some of these "leaders" are.

He didn’t state any position at all. That’s the point. Immigration reform can mean absolutely anything. Everyone uses the term now to discuss different approaches.
Personally, I think we should put a moratorium on legal immigration as well but there are no candidates who embrace that position.
Too many people here don’t discuss facts, just their personal projections of people. Common sense has taken a vacation from this site.
