Indeed. One may as well say “Newton argued that a purposeless, unguided random process — gravity operating on mass- explains the whole history of astronomic development and movement.”

Moreover randomness is always used as a Creationist boogeyman; as if “random” means “not under the control of God”.

Does anyone actually think that God's power stops at the casino door? That God is shut out of the “random unguided” process whereby the cards are dealt out?
