If these tea parties do not include recruitment sign-ups for neighborhood organizing (for canvassing, electoral activism to support legislative, sheriff and other campaigns, and for issue activism) it is a massively hollow and superficial effort and a pity of potentiall tragic proportion.

There is still the time to orchestrate this, however.

“Massively hollow”?

There are many places people can sign up already to help their local and state candidates and they do. Go put your name on any of their websites and see how many calls you get. If you’re that much of an activist yourself, go run for office instead of scolding people on the internet. I think what people are doing is a great start and you calling it “superficial and a pity” is really out of line.
