National Journal article, John McCain is pretty steamed about losing the Hispanic vote despite his amnesty advocacy. Here's how he reportedly behaved in a recent meeting about Republican outreach to Hispanics:
"He was angry," one source said. "He was over the top. In some cases, he rolled his eyes a lot. There were portions of the meeting where he was just staring at the ceiling, and he wasn't even listening to us. We came out of the meeting really upset."

Gee, pandering doesn’t work. Ya think? Should’ve asked Hillary about how well pandering works.

Snicker. What did McCain expect and what would the hispanics expect from him after they ignored his pandering?

Good for McCain. Don’t help those that won’t help themselves.

I certainly dont support McCain’s efforts here, but it certainly illustrates the mainstream media’s effect on uneducated and uninformed voters. McCain has done more for this particular community than probably any senator in history; however if the current administration gets its way illegals will be voting legally before too long.

Everything I needed to know about the effects of unlimited immigration I learned from the American Indians.

In some cases, he rolled his eyes a lotYeah, but did he shuffle his feet, too?
If not, he was just faking it.
Next, he'll be eating fried chicken tacos, and watermelon flan.

"What did Senator McCain do for them?"
What McCain did or didn't do, what he tried to do but couldn't is irrelevant.
Hispanics knew, no matter how much or how hard McCain may have tried, the GOP was not going to support reform.
To: RobinMasters
Yes, Juan. You reach across the aisle and you get screwed. Every time. Haven’t you learned that yet?
Ironically, the thing that did most to defeat your campaign, other than your own stupidity, was McCain-Feingold. That’s how Obama ended up with more than twice as much money as you.

Who particularly do you mean by "Hispanics"? The ones who organized the "May Day" parades?

THAT’S the core McCain. He runs on resentment and anger.

Hey, look on the bright side! Juan made a career of “getting even” by betraying and selling out republicans after they selected Bush, rather than him, in 2000. Maybe now he’ll start demanding that illegals be rounded up and deported!
