Pit bulls kill more people than any other breed and pits+rotweillers round out the vast majority of deaths.
Since January 1, 2006, Texas has suffered 15 fatalities due to dog attacks. Of these fatalities, 80% (12) were attributed to pit bulls, 13% (2) to rottweilers and 7% (1) to the combination of a doberman and shepherd.
Kids are more than 3 times more likely to be attacked by dogs.
You think I am immature to call pit owners IDIOTS. Well, I'll one up myself. By continuing the demand for pit bulls and arguing against banning the breed, they are partially responsible for the unnecessary deaths and maulings of innocents.
