Security Council, but in our determination to prevent the spread of these weapons."Well, Barry, the only action that would have stopped this test is for the US to use its own technology and assets and to either have destroyed the missile on the pad, or shot it down in flight.
Both of which are things you are not only unwilling to do, but are capabilities you are vowing to stop and take away from the US military.
All of your "words" at the UN are meaningless (amd are, in fact, the antithesis of "action"), and the North Koreans, the Iranians, and others, including the Red Chinese, know it and scorn and mock you...and even worse...take abject advantage of you and this nation as a result.

Sounds like BHO doesn't understand that a "rocket" IS a "long range missile". It can be used to put a payload into orbit, or onto a selected target. Within the capabilities of the hardware, the difference is in the programing of the guidance system. A high arcing trajectory puts a payload onto a target, a less extreme trajectory puts a payload into orbit. Even a bomb could be put into orbit, set to go off as it passes over a selected country. Such an orbital bomb would not produce any blast damage on the ground, but it would produce a Electromagnetic Pulse, which would at minimum disrupt computers and communications across a wide area, and more likely would burn them out. It would also induce surges into the electric grid, again at minimum causing temporary disruption, more likely wide scale damage that would need to be repaired before the targeted area would have electricity again.
