Spot on. I often wonder why China, Japan and SK don't just march in and divide the place up. It seems NK exists to keep the USA on edge. No other logical reason for such a stone aged place to continue to exist in a vibrant Asian economy.
Nobody wants to have to take care of the people and rebuild the place.
The reunification with East Germany cost West Germany a gazillion dollars; the South Koreans have been frantically trying to prop up the NKs enough that the state doesn't collapse and they have to move in to maintain order and integrate the population - which would bankrupt the SKs.
