Careful. Obama will have control of the internet soon. You don’t wan’t to make yourself into a target.

Are you sure that wasn’t sarcasm about the carbon credits? It sounds like something I would say sarcastically.

Maybe SF Redux forgot the sarcasm tag.

I fear that too. I don’t know what to say and to whom.

With your screen name being SF_Redux, I would think you are from San Francisco (more like San Fran Sickos).

In your first reply you were worried about carbon credits, and the carbon footprint those ships produced will be tiny compared to the footprint produced if NK sends a nuke into the west coast, i. e., San Fran.

I hope you sleep good after this missile launch, knowing you are within range of a possible nuke.

.... and I hope you aren't as parinoid in rl as you seem here

PS, I have never been to or seen san fran

"North Korea broke the rules once more by testing a rocket that could be used for a long-range missile,"

Sounds like BHO doesn't understand that a "rocket" IS a "long range missile". It can be used to put a payload into orbit, or onto a selected target. Within the capabilities of the hardware, the difference is in the programing of the guidance system. A high arcing trajectory puts a payload onto a target, a less extreme trajectory puts a payload into orbit. Even a bomb could be put into orbit, set to go off as it passes over a selected country. Such an orbital bomb would not produce any blast damage on the ground, but it would produce a Electromagnetic Pulse, which would at minimum disrupt computers and communications across a wide area, and more likely would burn them out. It would also induce surges into the electric grid, again at minimum causing temporary disruption, more likely wide scale damage that would need to be repaired before the targeted area would have electricity again.

I believe NORAD 1000x more than I believe the Korean Central News Agency and their announcers out of Pyongyang just a little while ago.

So do I. Now if they will just tell us where the third stage and/or payload came down, we can all go back to sleep..or not as the case may be.

The video that AiT provided made it appear as if the bird was on a great circle heading towards Hawaii. How close did it get?

You are absolutely right. This site prepares us so well that the average Joe is way behind and only gets lost when we throw it all at them.

It's hard to do but if you can diagnose where they are, at what level, and then go from there you can get a lot further with the reeducation process that must take place or we will lose the country to the Socialists.

I believe we will hear, in the next days or weeks, exactly where it came down.

If you remember, a number of years ago, they had another "test" such as this where pieces of the thing were found on Alaskan soil if I am not mistaken.

The sheer tonnage of what BHO doesn’t understand would fill a train with 8 locomotives and 800 tank cars.

The EMP is just as frightening as anything. Just think of all the infrastructure that would have to be replaced and how many hospitals would not be able to continue to run on a generator indefinitely.

What load(s) are you thinking of for hospital generators? Almost all technology will be fried. Maybe some HVAC systems will work but don’t expect much MRIs, catscans or X-ray equipment to have survived an EMP.

Good point. I haven’t thought through all the ways in which this would be a horrifying thing to happen.

What response? They “condemned” it? Spoke strongly against it? This wasn’t even a blip on their radar. They gave more attention to the meet and greet with G20 than this act of war.
