You betcha, says the baby daddy of Sarah Palin's grandson.
The Alaska governor most likely was aware before her daughter, Bristol, became pregnant that the teenager and her hockey hunk boyfriend were having sex, Levi Johnston said in a bombshell new interview.
"I'm pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart," said Johnston, 18, the father of the governor's first grandchild, in an interview that will air Monday on "The Tyra Banks Show."
Johnston said he and Bristol Palin practiced safe sex "most of the time."

Can we please stop with making Freerepublic into a Palin Gossip column? I would bet there are 10 times more negative Palin columns that get posted here than over on the Huffington Post, the DU, or Kos, or on Mother Jones. Falling right into the liberal media trap aren’t we? . By the time 2012 rolls around there won’t be a Palin fan left if this keeps up. Maybe that’s the plan.
There are three types of people posting this flood of anti-Palin stories here on FR
1) Jerry Springer fans. Its the culture of the people today. They love scandal even if its about one of their own, which is why the stupid reality TV programs have a huge audience, and why these scandal post generate 200 to 300 replies or more. Eating our own for a little entertainment.
2) Non-Voters. Could be someone who supported another Republican candidate that is jealous of the attention paid to Palin who shoved their candidate off the radar screen. They stayed hope election day or wrote their candidate in.
3) Trolls, trying to destroy Palin’s and the Republicans chances in 2012.
4) Baiters – those who get off on posting topics that cause Freepers to go head to head in verbal battles. Topics often include Christian denominations, Mormons, evolution, Ron Paul or other third party candidate, Palin and even the Civil War. . These baiters could also be 1, 2, or 3.
My question to the Freepers who said to themselves, “I just gotta post this on FR”, Which one are you? 1, 2, 3or 4? Think about it.

Gee, I think that Bristol’s lawyers should be demanding an ongoing forensic audit of all Levi’s income. It will be needed to cover his child support for all the years to come. It should be seized as it is earned and placed in a trust for the child. There of course is also the possiblity of suuport payments for Bristol since the fame came from both of them.
So?
Once teens begin having sex and parents find out, how are they supposed to stop it?
Knowing and condoning are entirely different things.
How naive and immature of him to do this, and how despicable of the host to ask these questions.

Well, apparently that’s what Levi actually says, at least according to Star Magazine:
Levi also reveals that Bristol’s mom, Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, allowed the teens to share a bedroom and “probably knew” they were having sex. “Moms are pretty smart,” he said.
He could still be a nice guy who made a mistake. He’s young and he may want redemption in the press. He may not understand that there are no true friends in the media.
He did get bashed pretty hard during the campaign.
I’d like to see him turn himself around.

Bristol Palin was a minor when this all happened. This whole episode with Tyra Banks is a violation of Bristol Palin's privacy. Bristol should sue everyone involved in this interview.

Indeed, and that was perfectly clear right from the start. But instead of flushing him, Sarah & Co. insisted on pressuring the kids to go along with a story that they were very much in love and had been planning to get married even before the pregnancy, and parading them on stage at the national convention. And an amazing number of conservative actually bought the story and cheered wildly for the "lovely young couple" being paraded before them.
Sarah Palin can’t help who her daughter chooses nor can she watch her 24/7 to see that she doesn’t get pregnant. Most politicians are hypocrites and would have had a secret abortion and this would have never appeared on the radar. Palin deserves some credit for sticking by her beliefs and not abandoning them for political expediency.
I only fault her, if in fact, she indeed did allow the two to shack up unmarried in her home. As a conservative, it is all about values, beliefs, principles and ideologies, not persons. We have to be very careful that we are not inventing our own Cult of Personality here. I am keeping my powder dry and as one on the outside looking in, it appears for all the world as a C of P and not Conservatives looking to advance conservatism and return to our constitutional principles that made us great.
