With 60,000 Republicans in the district, it is pathetic it is this close. Some are saying well at least it is that close...anything to give a pass to the Republicans. See what happens when we don’t shout out our conservative values. We end up shouting “Theft”. We should have easily won this election. That should be our talking points...Why did we not win this seat easily.
There are almost 10,000 absentees out. The only thing we’ll know tonight, is that we won’t know who won - probably not for a few weeks.
The GOP traditionally does well in absentees, however the Dems have been doing better since about 2006. It’s impossible to say who won here.
Goodnight, FRiends.
when elections are close, you can bet that the Dems will have the tricks to steal it.
I can't remember his name, but a Dem for the 60's era said if it's close we will steal it. So you better win by a lot.
I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past the Obama types, but let’s not get into “instant conspiracy mongering mode” like the left did throughout the Bush presidency.
Do you have any solid reason to believe that this is election fraud?
The district is steadily turning Dem, they move from the places Dems have ruined to enjoy the relatively better areas...then are ruining them as well.
Many of the Republicans here voted Obama. This is New York.
If the R didn’t win by 20%, consider it a lost cause. The Dims will steal it away.
It is IMPERATIVE that we find a systemic way to kill this capability of the Left or the R’s will never again hold a major office!
“A problem with a machine in Saratoga Springs delayed the final reporting from one precinct.”
Yeah right. Is ACORN on the scene yet? I’m sure they’ll straighten this mess out /sarc
Yeah. And now that Zerobama moved the Census into Ballerina Boys office, we can be sure there will be no elected Republican’s anywhere ever again.
We’re watching the Republic as we know and love flatline out of existence.
Question for anyone in the district, especially those with access to past voting information — is there any way to find out the breakdown of absentee votes in past elections? One way to do this would be to compare the tally as of election night vs. the final tally. Given the Dem margin in 2008 in the Congressional race, it might be better to look at the Presidential results (though I’m sure that Zero did pretty well too).
In any event, what I’m getting at is how did the absentee vote break down in previous races as compared to the overall vote? That might be an indication of how it will break down this time. For instance, if the GOP did 5 points better among absentee voters than among regular votes in the November 2008 races, that would be a good sign.
I’m a resident of this district and am in school out of state—I sent in my absentee ballot for Tedisco so I know there’s at least one more vote coming for him when those get tallied! Hoping and praying he’ll make it in.
I think that these too close to call races seem to be happening far more often in highly publicized races....it does seem a little fishy to me.
This election was ACORNed
But don't let me interrupt the unnecessary wrist slitting. I will add though that even though we will likely win, this should have been an easy win. Steele needs to take some blame for this. The National Party did not put in the resources that they should have.
“Too close to call” = Win for the dems. We know it’s coming, and it sucks.
Any update on this race this morning? Thanks...
