Your argument might have some merit if not for the fact that the war that you have waged against fellow conservatives goes back years here, whereas the caucus & devotional threads go back only several months. Before that, there was no proselytizing as you put it, just defense of our beliefs.
Are the caucus threads anti-conservative? Just out of curiosity GF, do believe we LDS posters here are conservatives? Would you rather have us on the conservative side, or out of the fight completely? Scary part? I'm scared to hear your response.
If the posts of a handful of Christians on one internet forum is a danger to the political conservatism of mormons in general, then their conservative credentials aren't very strong.
As I have posted before, when the 60,000+ mormon missionaries that are out their spreading YOUR message that all Christianity is "apostate" stay home and shut up, then your complaints against the truth about your religion being brought to light on FR and elsewhere will have some merit.
While the usual suspects have spewed their venom ad infinitum and mocked the tenets of our faith the last few months, I have been privileged to see several families in my community come unto Christ by entering into the waters of baptism and joining our faith. They are happy and joyful, having a deep and abiding testimony of their Savior born of the Spirit. Fortunately, their seeds are now planted in good ground unlike the rocky ground into which the seeds of others have fallen.
My son (one of the 60,000 missionaries of our faith) is now serving a mission in the South Pacific and bringing others unto Christ. His letters are filled with faith as he shares with us the joy many have experienced at going into the waters of baptism and entering into the Good Shepherd's fold.
The stone cut out of the mountainside is rolling forth to fill the earth and the detractors will not stop it.
