I think Sevenbak was one of the more classy, thoughtful, heartfelt posters here w/ a true passion for conservatism. His insight as a conservative journalist was also very welcome. Another one bites the dust. I’m sure many here will feel quite accomplished. Sad.
I am not one of them, I publicly and privately commended 7 for his comments to west and Spam against their nonsense. Had he left it there, there should have been no problem. I think his starting another FR thread on a mormon apologetics BB negated his thoughtful comments to west et al.
He may have been wrong on a number of things but he was a fighter and did try and be straight forward as possible without the seemingly requisite tap dancing. I can respect that.
I was sorry to see seven make the error that got him banned, but I don't see that JR had a choice when he went to a mopologist board and posted against FR.
As to accomplishment, seven accomplished his banning all by himself.
Undermining FR while availing himself of Jim's hospitality is hardly a "classy" action, even though you may disagree.
In addition, those FReepers who may have known of the undertaking by greg west had, IMO, an obligation to alert JR to the website and its avowed purpose. I just wonder how many mormon FReepers did so.
