facts of that case? No one should be subject to third-degree burns for spilling coffee. It was a dangerous, stupid policy. This case is constantly held up as an exemple of frivoulous lawsuits, but the facts don't support it.
No more than the facts would support FR being anti-Mormon.

The main fact was she was careless and spilled hot coffee on herself.
The coffee I get at the local McD is hot enough to scald and the coffee I make at home is hot enough to scald. I try to be careful with it.
Sounds like you and her don’t believe in personal responsibility.Or you are a lawyer.
