It was Wagoner who moved the company in the direction of more fuel efficient cars...

That would be enough for me to say goodbye... I want faster cars...

re: Wagoner, fuel efficient cars

I’m sure, after the Sierra Club, regulators and almighty congress got ahold of them. It’s not like they could guarantee gas prices to make it profitable... and as you said, and we see on the lots now, no one wants them.

And also, the UAW really knows how to take advantage of a crisis... adding to what we have now.

Help! to All:
Those who know, please clue me in.

From what’s happened so far (and i’m a rube who knows nothing), it would appear many laws broken by the administration.

For sure when he guaranteed the warranties of a particular company (unfair practice, competition, Robinson-Patman, maybe Latham on property, Simpson?) and when he put the union requirement re: fed contracts in legislation (leaving out 88% of trade workers, regardless if the union says their rats or not). There are probably zillions of acts with particular usage that doesn’t apply, but which do?

But I know nothing of law or what these folks signed with the government (because I don’t know why the companies aren’t in courts and play along), so greater minds have to inform me.
