If there is any justice, the current UAW chief, Ron Gettelfinger, will also “retire” a year early (he has said he will retire in 2010), since he and earlier UAW chiefs have dealt GM an impossible hand.

NOBODY with the name Gettlefinger should EVER appear in public life.

This will give “O” the chance to appoint a government lackey to run the company. Who wants to buy a car made by the government?? Large deposit required and all maintenance is free for the first 100 miles.

GM will be redefined as “Government Made”

Not one word on the UAW, the REAL problem. I am amazed at Obama’s response. His judgment is beyond naive. Gettelfinger should resign, and GM should be allowed to go bankrupt. Wages that are unreasonable have placed GM in a losing position and the UAW won’t budge an inch. Fire them all!
