I did turn on outdoor lights for an hour or so to “celebrate”. Most of the neighborhood was dark but then this IS a retirement community so that may not mean much.
But Earth Hour DID ruin what I’d planned to watch Saturday night. I have DirectTV which carries the NHL channel and on Saturdays, they carry the Hockey Night In Canada doubleheader. I turned on in time to catch the last few minutes of the pre-game show and they started talking about the D*****d Earth Hour.

I heard most of North Korea was dark last night at 8 ,so they must really care.

I think we should have our own Moon Hour when everyone will shine a flashlight up at the moon, in order to illuminate the surface for the barking moonbats to find their way home.LOL!

The Competitive Enterprise Institute, in the link below, offers a short video in celebration of Human Achievement, a concept they are promoting to counter the leftist-ecotard-dimwits' Earth Hour (very appropriately symbolized by "lights out", IMHO).

Long time reader, first time poster. Interesting enough, last night at the designated hour, my wife and I were in our great room which (usually dimly lit) had every light on that was possible to have on. My office, adjacent to the great room was also brightly lit. The reason was that we were getting all of our TAX information together for our accountant.

I forgot about that irrelevent crap, or I’d have turned all of my lights ON!
