The state Supreme Court will expunge a number of juvenile cases handled by disgraced Luzerne County Judge Mark A. Ciavarella Jr., following a recommendation from Judge Arthur Grim, the Berks County jurist appointed to review the cases.
Grim filed an Interim Report last Friday proposing procedures to identify Luzerne County juvenile cases where he believed the adjudications should be vacated and expunged.

The state Supreme Court said it would allow Grim to "grant such relief as expeditiously as possible" with two conditions:
The records of juveniles who wish to collect information and documents for use in pending civil lawsuits will be preserved and the expungements may be delayed.
And, The Luzerne County Probation Office must release copies of the Luzerne County Juvenile Court daily case lists from January 1, 2003 to May 31, 2008 to the Luzerne County District Attorney's office and an attorney for the Juvenile Law Center, the group that has advocated on behalf of juveniles.
The cases will be expunged without hearings, the state Supreme Court said.
.
Last month, veteran Luzerne County Judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan pleaded guilty to taking $2.6 million in kickbacks to send juveniles to privately run detention centers.
The state’s high court will throw out and expunge the case records of first-time offenders convicted of minor crimes by Ciavarella and Conahan.
I see the trees. Where is the forest?
What a pair of rats. Had no idea what they were mucking up by doing this.
These two are trees in a forest of democrats.
