You also have to use leverage and employ long and short strategies.
If you have prior knowledge of a conspiriacy to pull the rug out from under the American economy, and you short the market (ex the old uptick rule), you can make big money.
Now that Mr. Soros has cashed in on all his short positions, Bawney Fwank & Chris (Bag Man) Dodd are all in favor of restoring the uptick short rule.
