No one can deny that God is at work in these circumstances
___________

I deny that God is at work in these circumstances.
___________

Okay — they you are either an Atheist or a Deist. That would also make you wrong. As Benjamin Franklin said: “God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?...” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech.

I am not suggesting that God knocked down the plane — that God “killed” those innocent children from the family of an abortionist. I AM suggesting that everything happens for a reason — for a purpose. I am quite certain that God KNOWS what those purposes and reasons are — I do not. Nor do you.

Thus, it is left to us to humble ourselves before Him, pray for others, and reach those we can. Or, we can reject the idea and “sow to the wind.” Without doubt, however, we inexorably “reap the whirlwind.”

Atheist.

That would also make you wrong.

You're certainly free to assert that, but that doesn't make it so, any more than my saying that you're wrong makes it so.

As Benjamin Franklin said: “God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?...” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | original manuscript of this speech.

I'll see your Benjamin Franklin quote and raise you two Thomas Jefferson quotes: ""Question with boldness even the existence of God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear." and, "Religions are all alike - founded upon fables and mythologies."

Which simply proves that we can play dueling quotes...

I am not suggesting that God knocked down the plane — that God “killed” those innocent children from the family of an abortionist. I AM suggesting that everything happens for a reason — for a purpose. I am quite certain that God KNOWS what those purposes and reasons are — I do not. Nor do you.

I never said that I knew why this particular plane crashed...what I said was that we now know the mechanics behind natural disasters as such as hurricanes and earthquakes, and thus no longer need to attribute their occurrence to the gods.

Thus, it is left to us to humble ourselves before Him, pray for others, and reach those we can. Or, we can reject the idea and “sow to the wind.” Without doubt, however, we inexorably “reap the whirlwind.”

I'll give you one more quote, this one from my favorite author. "The most ridiculous concept ever perpetrated by H.Sapiens is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of the Universes, wants the sacharrine adoration of his creations, that he can be persuaded by their prayers, and becomes petulant if he does not recieve this flattery. Yet this ridiculous notion, without one real shred of evidence to bolster it, has gone on to found one of the oldest, largest and least productive industries in history." [Robert Heinlein]
