Israel has a parliamentary system where there is not one clear-cut "right" or "left", but a number of parties with their own agendas (e.g. religious conservatives and national conservatives often want different things).

note they are joining with Labor, which came in 4th place instead of joining with Kadima, which came in 1st. I sense a little strategery going on
