I don’t know why they scrimp on those video systems. The difference in cost between one that produces barely acceptable video and one that does a really good job isn’t that much when you consider the lifetime of the system. There are going to be times when a good, high quality video of an event would be worth its weight in gold.
Even though it’s not the best quality video, it sure does hurt to watch it. I love aviation, have for as long as I can remember. It pains me to see something like this. My prayers and heart go out to the family and friends of the crew. If there’s any silver lining, at least in my my view of flying, at least they went doing something they probably loved. Sure beats being in an ALF for years and then on life support for a week or two.
