I think the focus is in the wrong place. AIG is supposed to eventually pay the money back and they did receive billions. I think the public is being tricked. The President and the head of the banking committee, Chris Dodd, received more money from these financial institutions than any other two politicians. Obama received over $100,000 himself and he has to this point not given it back. Isn't it time for him to set the example? Also any Republican who took money from these companies should be giving it back. The cost is small and the moral authority it would give back to the GOP would be great in pressuring Obama and Dodd. Also the GOP should be pledging not to take any campaign funds from companies that receive bailout dollars.

The democrats made the bonus deal behind closed doors at the direction of the treasury/Obama administration.

“I think the public is being tricked.”

Allow me to put your mind at ease. You can definitely believe that’s the case.

Guess where the first $100 billion went? The BoE

Hanging our “toxic” politicians would be too good for them.

I think our beloved TOTUS as well as our “Toxic” representatives are mentally challenged. Everywhere in the world, socialism/communism has proved to be a stagnant economic model at best. Yet, these imbeciles are leading the World’s Engine down the path of economic ruin. There is no excuse for this stupidity. None!

How about a tour of the homes of Harold Raines and Jami Gerelick who conveniently got out of town with a boat load of bonuses while lying on the financial statements at Fannie Mae.

Yes I know but does anyone else beyond freerepublic and talk radio? We should be running campaign commercials whipping up the anger to that point. Should be raising money to stop this insane congress and President. I just wish those in the GOP leadership would do their fn jobs. Here in VA a bunch dmbfcks want to move back to the same slow minded genteel leadership that lost the governorship and too Senate seats. I swear Republican party insiders have confused having horse sense with horse shit.

You are making the assumption that they want to improve things. Assume for a moment that Obama is an economic terrorist and that he wants to destroy the American economy.

Making that asssumption, everything he does makes perfect sense.

Yes they would and they would have already been in D.C. Every day I have to hold myself back because what I want to do and what I know needs to be done is something I fear indulgence in.

Can the families of these execs who have received death threats, bring lawsuits against individual senators and congressmen in civil court if something bad should happen to any of them (heaven forbid), or if they should continue to be harassed and/or receive death threats? I think the words of many of our senators and congressmen could be used against them in a court of law. After all, they leveraged the full power of the government against these execs (which was unconstitutional, by the way) to cause the citizenry to rise up against them. The lawsuits would be against individual senators and congressmen, not the Federal Government. Hmmm . . . .

I’m so tired of them. Even those who I thought were fighters have proven themselves nothing more than “politicians”. Locally Eric Cantor has continued to disappoint me. I don’t know what has happened to him. It is as if they live in their own little world with the media. Both groups deserve something none of us are brave enough to delivery.

When do Jamie Gorelick and Franklin Raines have to give back the $25 million and $90 million respectively in bonuses they fleeced from Fannie Mae when the groundwork for the current mess was being laid under their watch and direction? There should be people outside their homes.

Yep. Franklin Raines should be living in fear: $91.1 million in his pocket. He’s a thief and should be behind bars.

Maybe we should organize a bus tour of all the Congresscritters homes.

I'd be willing to be that Pelosi and Feinstein and Dodd all live in nicer homes than any of the AIG people who got bonuses.

BTW bring your torches and pitchforks.

The AIG people and Liddy should storm the Congress floor, tell it like it is a let the chips fall where they may.

I remember in the past when Congress brought up people to testify, those people did not take the BS from Congress, remember Howard Hughes, Hoffa's rant's, those that shouted back at McCarthy (he was right)when they called that a Witch Hunt.

Liddy needs to SHOUT back and accuse them of their wrongdoing and do it in the public forum, do it now, I am sure he knows by now that we are somewhat on his side. Not that AIG was blameless, just that CONGRESS was the instigater of all this FRAUD.

Since Liddy is not getting paid for his job, he don't have to take their BS, what the H___ does he have to lose?
