Dimwitted President... more mentally disabled than Special Olympics competitors!
Townhall.com ^ | 03.20.09 | Kevin McCullough

My listeners know that I'm the father of a special needs son. Those who know me also know just how proud I am of him. He may never be able to read fluently, or do many of the things that many of us have the chance to do in life. Yet he faces each day with a sense of optimism that inspires me and causes me to be mindful of the many blessing I have to be thankful for.

My current President is not one of them.

Cool Brutha in Chief last night went on Leno to try to save his already flotsam record as President from descending into shreds. Since the man is better at campaigning than anything else his advisers said, "why not?"

Never mind that it completely demeans the office of President.

He was there for a purpose. Sell the "raise the taxes" or "give out the stimulus" or "pass the omnibus" rhetoric and to try to create in the public's mind the idea that he still has some semblance of an idea that he knows what he's doing.

This writer is badly in need of an editor. All his articles are filled with errors, including misused vocabulary, and the book he wrote was just as bad.

"Flotsam" record? "Descending into shreds?" (Recycled-paper shreds, like at the bottom of the gerbil cage?)

Perhaps English is not the gentleman's first language.

Permanent campaign mode.

One would have thought the regime of the “Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001” would have retired that title for good, but now comes the “Token” and raises it to an art form.

Badly executed art, to be sure, and with undertones of blasphemy and a raging underlying anger, which spills out as poor jokes and nasty bad taste.

We are beginning to see the rise of “Obama fatigue syndrome”. His attempts at witty repartee and clever bon mottes are begining to fall flat, and he seems not to take his day job seriously.

What job does he REALLY want? Whatever it is, he is clearly severely lacking in the acumen and training to take it on.

I have a friend whose son would qualify for Special Olympics. M is what we used to call”slow”. He has to struggle every day to do most basic things. He is behind in school and used to ride the “short bus”
He was oxygen starved at birth. A few more minutes and he would have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Thank God for kids like M. and parents like his. They have dedicated their lives to helping him find his niche in life. He found it in BOWLING!! This kid (16 yrs old) has an average around 200. He has bowled a 296. He ranked about third in the nation last year in his age group.
And this sorry BAST#$D has the unmitigated gall to insult people like M.
BO can go screw himself. I wish him nothing but failure in all that he tries to do to this country.
He should hope to do as well as Special Olympians. He sure has a long way to go.

That is the truest statement ever.

Thank you Snowtigger, I can relate to that. In our extended family we have several special needs adults. They have more of a real work history than this lame president and that’s no joke. They rise early, go to work and make useful items. I would say what because there are many mean-spirited people who relish making fun of such so I keep as much private as possible.

Nevertheless, they are examples in integrity, work ethic and kindness, in short, they bless us but we fall very short of being a blessing for them! I will take the friendship of the likes of my cousins anyday over Hollywood trash, Congress trash and self-imposed welfare trash and Socialists looking for a handout.

My main fear is that what with the utilitarian, Godless losers we have in power we must do all that we can to protect and defend our special needs family and friends, don’t kid yourself, this culture of death is itching to practice what it preaches.

I'm almost beginning to miss the Good Ole Days of Iranian Desert Two disasters, cardigan fireside malaise, 144 hostages, "suicidal" Presidential Counselors, "accidents" of Cabinet members on rocky Croatian hillsides, "missing" billing records, compromised nuclear warhead secrets, threats of "dead cats", and stained blue dresses.

When is Obama going to assume the role of a "normal" Democrat President and start acting in the "interests of the 'merican People" and the Chyldrun?

I do have to admit, though - he's getting the wagging finger part down pretty good...

I’m with you on that.

My youngest (Autism spectrum - hyperlexia) competed this year in the WA State SO Cross-Country Ski competition. 3 Events (3K, 5K, 4x1K relay) - 3 gold medals. Skied the 3K and 5K back-to-back. Had he done this well last year, he would have been invited to the World Special Olympics.

And he’s an Eagle Scout. At age 16. First one in his year group (as well as with Bear & Webelos). And Order of the Arrow.

And a small-business owner.

Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY proud of him , and blessed to be his Dad.

So as I see it, he’s far more qualified (at 23) to be POTUS than the Affirmative Action, no-class, unqualified punk we are cursed with. And that’s not counting Natural-Born citizenship.

Rusty Humphreys read my email on his 19Mar09 show, right toward the end. I’m calling ODumbo out on this one. We all should.

Sounds like he has some pretty great parents, too.
Another friend of ours had a Down’s Syndrome girl. She was so moved by the one child, she adopted another. Two greater girls, you never met. Totally honest. If they liked you, they would tell you. If your hair was a mess, you would hear it right away. No malice, just plain honesty.
I always let them raid my strawberry patch. Thwy thought I was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I wish they had not moved away.
