I'm stunned that the unconstitutionality of this is not being reported OR EVEN mention by Republicans. Not even talk radio, what gives with this??? I pray everyone is calling their Senator, and if their rep voted for this, calling them with a piece of their mind!!

The site referenced here was down all afternoon yesterday, and I hope that is a good sign.

This is not new legislation nor a new "plan." It says nothing in the article about "brownshirts," which was Race Bannon's doctoring of the headline. I did read down a few short paragraphs in the link to this:

The vote yesterday came on H.R. 1388, which reauthorizes through 2014 the National and Community Service Act of 1990 and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973, acts that originally, among other programs, funded the AmeriCorps and the National Senior Service Corps.

The source is WND, which used to be routinely laughed off of FR. When I posted from LiveLeak last week, with the caveat the post was a rumor, still the article was derided and consigned to "Conspiracy." This interpretive article is left in Breaking News.

Sure, the administration may have plans to alter these programs, but any discussion of that is speculation at this point.
