One might almost think that this appalling glimpse of the Mutt's character was a put-up job, to distract us from the AIG bonus/ex-post-facto/bill-of-attainder/scandal (which itself is receiving undue attention, to distract us from AIG's offshore disbursements). But it's unlikely that (a) anyone pulling the strings is that clever or even concerned, or (b) the Mutt would go along with anything that (1) tarnished his halo or (2) revealed his true thoughts on any topic.

What will happen? There'll be no mention of bowling on the broadcast; the electrons recording the exchange will automagically disappear, as will the reports by Tapper and others; Rush and Imus and Beck tomorrow will be accused of fabricating the story; and the O-bots will believe it.

As for the targets of his scorn, decent folk protect the weakest among us and love unconditionally the children who, through no fault of their own, have unusual limitations. Indecent people mock them, use them, and kill them. There will be a reckoning.

Tennie, this has already been covered by MSNBC (Olbermann broke the story), Anderson Cooper and Ed Henry on CNN, and Jake Tapper on ABC. It isn’t going to disappear, even if the New York Times did ignore it and leave it out of their story.

AP story has it and it’s in the Washington Post. Politico has it, too.

If NBC cuts it, then there is even more to the story, as NBC will get dragged into it.
