The VA only provides free medical care for service-related conditions. In other words, if you lose a leg in battle or develop PTSD after a dangerous Special Ops career, we pay for your treatment because your disability resulted from your service to our country.

Obama wanted to rewrite the contract between veterans and the country. I am still amazed at his stupidity, audacity, and lack of shame. What planet does this guy live on?

I agree this was a boneheaded idea. But the irony does not escape me. Outrage that Obama tried to push privatized healthcare on Veterans and then we all come to the defense of VA SOCIALIZED medicine for the vets. Very entertaining indeed.
