Prediction: He won't retire. He will run again next time around and he will be re-elected by an even greater margin since he is such an honest guy.

I too wish he would leave office.

And not only that, but shouldn’t he donate the political contributions he received from AIG to a good neutral cause? A charity that helps the mentally challenged, for example.

Shouldn’t everyone that received contributions from AIG donate their money?

He was part of the “Friends of Mozilo” and didn’t retire. What makes you think he’s going to retire over this?

That might be the idea. Normally I would have thought Dodd is as politically bulletproof as they come, that he is dug in so deep in Connecticut there is no getting rid of him but, now I am not so sure. He may be damaged beyond repair.
