Obama is making history by going on a talk show.

So we didn’t have time to read the stimulus, execs flying in jets are bad, and he’s this great orator who can’t talk without a teleprompter...

It’s been said a thousand times, but it can’t be said enough. Obama is a child. He likes playing president, getting cheered and applauded, and Leno will lather him up good.

Meanwhile, we’re going through “the worst economy since the Depression” or whatever it is today. (Hold on, it’s Thursday tomorrow, so is that “worst ever” or “things are looking up, invest!” day?)

He signs bills that throw money from hardworking people—and yes, some tiny number of rich people who’ve figured out how to make tons of money, big freakin deal—at people who don’t work at all. He throws money from people who pay their bills so people who don’t can pay theirs, which will hold them awhile until more bills come along.

And we have the spectacle of Republicans flopping around like fish out of water because they can’t decide if they want to be Rockefeller country club get-along types with democrats, who will always hate them, or if they want to be true conservatives and keep government out of the way of people who are doing the unspeakable—trying to live their lives their own way, without anyone interfering with them or forcing them to share what is theirs under threat of reprisal.

Christopher Dodd “comes clean” on something he should never have done. Big effing deal. Barney Frank and the rest of the democrats are up there, without having run a candy store, tossing around TRILLIONS of dollars THEY DIDN’T EARN and lecturing US about how we shouldn’t be selfish. Meanwhile, Dodd is involved with shady loans, Obama had the lot next door bought conveniently by a criminal, Frank was screwing someone who helped cause this crisis...

Obama is a seriously silly man put in a position where he can do lasting damage. And America applauds his audacious move of during time of crisis: appearing on a talk show. The democrats are giving money that isn’t theirs to people who didn’t earn it. And America doesn’t rise up and demand Dodd and Frank not only resign but are investigated.

When it comes to donating to politicians and filling their coffers, bonus-and-bail-out embattled American International Group Inc.’s Financial Products unit in Wilton has a stimulus record of its own, providing Sen. Christopher Dodd’s presidential campaign with more than $103,000 during the 2008 election cycle. AIG’s contributions to Dodd outpace the financial firm’s $101,000 contribution to President Barack Obama’s election bid. Altogether, AIG executives raised $630,000 during the past election cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, as the company was coming under fire. At least $120,000 of those contributions were made after September when Congress awarded AIG the first...
