The Knock on the Door(0 demands loyalty to him, not to America)

A sitting President of the United States is "organizing a political organization loyal to him, bound by a pledge, outside the government and existing party apparatus. The historical precedents are ominous."

What is so ominous about an organization? Americans, Alexis de Tocqueville famously observed, "constantly form associations.... If it is proposed to inculcate some truth or to foster some feeling by the encouragement of a great example, they form a society."

Certainly, thousands of organizations seek to influence the political debate. There's Newt Gingrich's American Solutions or the left-wing People for the American Way, for instance.

Political parties are another example of an association, of course. Before, during and after political campaigns, the Democrats and Republicans promote their agendas. As legal entities, they have their own constitutions, their rules of business, their chairmen and officers. They have to be accountable to both the government and their members.

But there is a new organization on the political scene -- "Organizing for America," announced by President Barack Obama in late January but officially unfurled last weekend.

Obama describes OFA as a "grass-roots movement" but OFA is a "project" of the Democratic Natrional Committee.

As Politico reported, OFA will take the 10 million person database built up by the Obama campaign "to mobilize support for the president's legislative agenda."

Revision of history is a powerful weapon. If you change the way someone views history, you control their decisions in the present.

The Left has it covered all the way. Words have power. They are symbols of thought. If you change the words; you change the way people think. Political Correctness is a mind altering effort. It is designed to create 'change'. . .in one's moral orientation and cutlural and world view. . . .PC is designed to capture Will and Reason and replace it with a brainwashing 'group think'.

We know from history, that it works. Those holdouts who have not been rendered up till now, 'mind-numbed or brain dead'; can witness it's power and threat, today.

“Don’t waste your time vetting the public school books. you can’t do anything about them”

My colleagues and I, who were teaching when some of these textbooks were selected by STATE officials and subsequently adopted by our local school board, refused to use them. We made our case using examples from the textbooks to our local school board members and won. The new texts were shipped back and we continued with the older, more accurate editions.

I’ll be home for part of the day before i head out to mark Levin’s book signing.

Oh, i hope they knock on my door, and I will follow them throughout the building, countering their spiel to my neighbors.

You do good work. My wife is an elementary teacher and we have tried and failed the same thing.
