Zbigniew Brzezinski: More Bad Advice on Iran
Pajamas Media ^ | March 16 | Craig Karpel

Posted on 03/16/2009 3:13:58 PM PDT by AJKauf

Gen. Douglas MacArthur ended his farewell address to Congress on April 19, 1951, by quoting the refrain of a barracks ballad that went, “Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.” Former presidential national security advisers, in contrast, neither die nor fade away. They’re too busy drumming up business for their inevitable consultancies and tweaking their “legacies” by writing op-ed pieces and testifying before legislative committees.

Zbigniew Brzezinski was Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser. He advocated the cessation of U.S. support for the shah of Iran, thereby contributing to (and some would say resulting in) the Islamist takeover of the country 30 years ago. On March 5, Brzezinski testified alongside his Bush 41 counterpart Brent Scowcroft at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on U.S. policy toward Iran. Both called for talks with Tehran and said the main problem posed by Iran’s nuclear program is not that nuclear-armed Iranian missiles will threaten Western cities, but that Iran’s possession of such weapons will spur other countries in the region and around the world to acquire nuclear weapons...

Listen I remember this turd when he was on the TV interview shows in the seventies. He was a geek then and he hasn't improved with age, even though he obviously thought himself a genius of realpolitik.

Brzezinski one of the creators of the disaster policies
of the Middle East we have to deal with today is
associated with “The New American Foundation”

along with other liberals and PaleoCons who would rather have another 9/11 than stop it.
One of bunker Paleo’s in this Leftwing group is
Reihan Salam who wrote an article in support of Gov. Sanford, a clone of L Ron Paul and some on FR don’t mind being associated with this far left bunch

Carter ,the worst President in modern times, was ill-served by Brzezinski. Pulling support from US friends in Iran and Nicaragua led to wars for the decades that followed. We almost pulled out of So. Korea on the advice of the same egotist.

It's a democrat thing to quit, at least since Truman.

Zbigniew Brzezinski was Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser

Enough reason to ignore virtually everything that comes out of his mouth. My real question is, have these guys no shame?

Turnabout is fair play. If the liberals try Bush Administration officials on trumped up charges, Zbiggie should be at the top of the traitor list for the next GOP administration.

My real question is, have these guys no shame?

Not only no shame, but the duplicitous machinations of Brzezinski are much more sinister than anyone could fathom. This man's motivations for ALL his acts when he rose to power stemmed not from long term geopolitical interests of United States, but from his own personal vendetta against the Soviets for their invasion of his beloved homeland and country of birth, Poland.

When his machinations of installing the first non Italian, young Polish priest to the papacy became reality and created the powerful symbol of solidarity for agitation and revolution against the Soviet Union, he figured a winning strategy to stick it to the Soviets yet again. It was personal animosity and revenge, pure and simple, and he was willing to sacrifice everything including countries and lands and peoples and histories for his animosity of those who dared to invade his mother homeland. He never cared or sweated the consequences of undermining Iran's 2500 year history or Afghanistan's people's lives or even the future legacy of his machinations for the region and the world. He was much more interested in himself, Brzezinski, sticking it again and again to the Soviets. He instigated the rise of Islamism in secular Afghanistan and peaceful, secular, modern Iran by undermining the Shah and supporting the "Persian Saint" -- as carter's people tagged khomeini! -- who has brought Hell to Iran and beyond. In the process he freed his own homeland and sent to bondage and islamist terrorism and terrorizing misery, Iran, Afghanistan and beyond.

Damn this man. Damn this man to Hell. The deformed grotesque visage of this man is surely a mirror to his decrepit soul!
