My God.

That's the best one-liner to praise a post I've *EVER* seen on FR.

I stand in awe.

Cheers!

"I think, though, that Obama himself is coming into what must to him be a horrifying realization that Bush had reasons for doing as he did that are quite outside the adolescent fulminations of his enemies on the left."

We will see. Obama proved to be a flexible campaigner. Grunted, that was all words, and now he would have to sign under the real policies. If he is 1/100 smart as they say he is, its no second too late to start searching for his own Dick Morris. Unless I underestimate him and he is indeed a cold hearted Maquiavelli, he should feel some pangs of worry that not everything is like it was supposed to be.

I agree with you. Remember how Bush was mocked for saying "I'm the decider"? I got the impression that it was news to Obama, which doesn't argue very well for his own idea of just what the job really consisted of. Zero executive experience will do that. Even the manager of a used car lot has to make more decisions than Bambi has.

I truly wish the gentleman no ill, and if he doesn't get some decent, competent, experienced staff in and learn on the fly how to delegate to them, that unbelievably stressful job could kill him, literally. What he's got working for him now is a team full of time-servers and ward-heelers who are more interested in covering their six and taking a nice big bite of the pie than keeping the boss's blood pressure from going into quadruple digits. And the mere idea of President Biden puts my blood pressure into quadruple digits.

Moreover, in teen-age fashion, Obama  daily blamed Bush for the mess,

LOL!

rather than talk up the US. To get an agenda across that would reshape American life, he evoked the Great Depression from November to February to scare the nation into increasing the government share of GDP. Ossified, secular, shrinking, pacifist, static, and statist Europe was clearly the model

I've been around too long to believe that.

I've been around along enough Not to believe a word this new administration is saying, nor the MSM Pundits. The MSM is primed to crash and burn.
