If it’s “dead on arrival”, why bring it up? Are they delberately trying to p*ss everybody off, thinking that they just might sneak one through?
Just when you think LIBs/SOCs can’t sink any lower, they reach new depths. It's called a "trial balloon". They like this idea, and other similar ones. They float this idea, saying it has "no chance"... but if the outcry isn't bad enough to cost many Dem seats, they'll tinker with it, and push it through. They know that the silent majority only has the stomach for so much complaining per year... so if they can find a soft spot, or a time when they're sick of being dismayed and annoyed, they'll push a few more across.
