I agree, and I predict we will be pilloried on this thread as Palin haters. Sadly, we are not allowed to follow our values —that people should not have children if they are not married—lest we be hailed as not conservatives (which is pretty ironic, I would have to say).

I hear you. But I am a Palin supporter. She probably did everything she could to instill the proper values in her daughter. My parents did, too. When I turned 17-18, I did what I wanted to do. I did not rob banks. I did not do drugs. I did, however, have a steady girlfriend whose company I very much enjoyed.

I am probably lucky that I did not become a parent long before I was ready. If I could do it all over, I probably would wait until after I graduated from high school, but I am pretty sure I would not have been able to hold out a full semester at college.
